The short version.Your files never leave your device: every conversion happens on your iPhone or iPad. Only when you type a request in “What do you want to do?” is that sentence sent, with the type and size of the files you picked, to choose the right tool.
BPA Solutions (“we”, “our” or “us”) operates the FileSnap mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.
All file processing happens on your device. Your files, their names and their content are never uploaded.
The “What do you want to do?” bar is optional. When you use it, the App sends:
Everything above goes to our server in Germany (Hetzner). Only the sentence, the language and the type and size of the files go on to TypeSafe in the United States, which reads them to pick a tool. We do not store the sentence. To apply the daily limits we count requests per day for each random identifier and for each network address, kept only as an unreadable code, and delete the counters after about a day. None of it is linked to your identity or used for advertising or tracking.
Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. The App asks Apple whether you have Pro.
The App asks for access only when you use the feature that needs it:

FileSnap does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Requests typed in the App are not linked to anyone.
TypeSafe (typesafe.ai) processes the requests you type, as described above. Apple handles purchases. FileSnap has no analytics, advertising or tracking services.
Under the GDPR and the CCPA you can ask us what we hold about you. We do not store your files or your requests, and the daily counters are anonymous and short-lived. Write to us with any question.
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and the App shows the same text.
